Flaunter is an online platform that connects brands and media. We offer a streamlined service for brands to upload and organise their high resolution, media-ready content (photos, videos, documents and more!) and an easy-to-access system for media to follow, find, and download it. We also offer an image-based sample tracking solution for brands and agencies who need to keep samples in order and accounted for.

Get started.

PR 101: GETTING THE BASICS RIGHT

Make sure you’re primed to maximise every opportunity that comes your way - and learn how to create your own opportunities too. Set a simple strategy, get your assets in order, be confident you’re talking to media in the right way, and understand what success looks like for your brand.

DO YOU HAVE A CLEAR & CONSISTENT BRAND IDENTITY?

You must have a clear brand concept and know your target audience. This includes being well versed in your brand story and an idea about where (and why) you want your brand featured.

Editors and bloggers will want to be able to link back to your website and they’ll want to see your branding to make sure that it’s a good fit for their audience. Make sure all your digital channels look fresh and on-brand. Do not underestimate the ⁣power of an exceptional looking website and Instagram account. Imagery is incredibly powerful when you have just 0.7 seconds to grab someone’s attention online...

DO YOU HAVE HIGH-QUALITY IMAGES?

This includes deep etch images of individual products and some campaign or lifestyle shots. Images must be high resolution (300dpi) in order to published in print, and with the now standard high definition screens we use today, high quality also matters for digital publications. Some more on what images media look for.

IS YOUR  PRODUCT AVAILABLE TO BUY?

Media will often request a sample of your products to test, try or take photos of. You have to have the product available to ship to them as soon as they need it. You’ll also need to be ready and able to fulfil orders should their readers demand it.⁣

UNDERSTANDING WHAT PR CAN HELP YOU ACHIEVE.

I can’t see a sales spike. How do I know PR is working? This is one of the most commonly as questions for anyone working in PR.  Can PR help to drive sales? Absolutely. But of course, it’s not as simple as that. While measurable results [$$] are incredibly important, there are so many more ways your PR is adding value to your business.

Your PR is building your brand identity, keeping your competitors out of the spotlight, and forming valuable relationships and attitudes towards your brand that will have long-term and lasting impact on your future success.

"It’s more than likely today that the first encounter someone has with your designs will be online. This means that how you package and present your brand – the way you choose to shoot it, the models you display it on, and how much of your collection you opt to show – is becoming almost as important as the quality of your designs."

Alyx Gorman - Engagement Lead at Time Out Group & Fashion Editor at The Saturday Paper

Flaunter School is a series of resources and lessons created by industry experts to help you master the basics of PR.

"After creating your product, PR and marketing are by far the most important things to get right. There’s no point in having epic products if no one knows about it."

Angela Aspradakis - Co-Founder at Pfeiffer
